Wonder

Wonder and amazement are traits common with all children. Capturing that and getting a worthy shot can be a chore. But when it's captured, it's well worth the effort to get the shot.

Color Vs. Black and White

I often take photos and play with different color options. This way I can decide whether I like them better in color or black and white. Usually it's easy to choose, for one "pops" and the other doesn't.

Tristin

While I was photographing the other children that day, Tristin took off to be all boy. By the time it was his turn, he was just a little dirty and NOBODY had anything to clean him up with, so the end result was a black and white photo (makes the dirt less noticeable) of a boy in his true element and a lesson learned........ALWAYS carry baby-wipes for a quick clean up!!!

Location

I am always on the hunt for interesting settings for taking photos, but sometimes the scenery and setting are right there in front of me and I didn't even realize it.

In this photo the Mackinac Bridge and the water made this photo incredibly memorable. At the time I took it, I never who have guessed how beautiful or powerful this picture would have turned out.

Babies

I love to photograph babies and young children. Their innocence is beautiful and breath taking.

In this photograph of two-week old Logan (right), I was able to catch him as he was at that time, eyes open and looking at the world.

Emma on the left offered my the chance to capture her personality and beauty in her first Easter outfit. Emma was 9 months old in the picture.

Babies always offer a unique group of photos, you never know what you may get and your always sure to love the pictures........

Posing Toddlers

Posing toddlers, especially boys can be extremely difficult to do, but having patience usually pays off and produces a nice photo that captures the essence of the toddler's personality.
